The West Virginia Family Planning Program contracts with over 150 local county health departmentsm, primary care and rural health centers, college and university student health clinics, hospitals, and private medical practices to deliver clinical family planning services to eligible individuals.

WV Family Planning Program provides services that:

• Improve access to quality health care for women and families who would otherwise lack health services;
• Enable women to prevent unintended pregnancies;
• Reduce the need for and number of abortions;
• Lower rates of sexually transmitted diseases and HIV;
• Identify symptoms of breast and cervical cancer and other medical conditions; and
• Enhance the overall health and well-being of mothers, children, families and communities
