Abortion Diaries at Taylor Books in Charleston

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008 at 5:30 PM

This 30 minute documentary features 12 women who speak candidly about their experiences with abortion. Their stories are woven together with the filmmaker's diary entries to present a compelling, moving and, at times, surprisingly funny 'dinner party' where the audience is invited to hear what women say behind closed doors about motherhood, medical technology, sex, spirituality, love, work and their own bodies.

Pro-Choice Lobby Day at the WV Legislature-- Tuesday, February 26th, 2008
The heat is already on. Join us on LOBBY DAY to advocate for women's health and protect Medicaid funding for West Virginia's poorest women. For information about HB 3077, which would eliminate public funding, click here. We need YOU in order to turn out a big crowd of pro-choice advocates at the capitol!

• 9:00 am Strategy Session & Citizen Lobbyist Training (Asbury Church, 501 Elizabeth St.) Continental breakfast provided. (A headcount is absolutely vital- please RSVP.)
• 10:30 am Leave for Capitol.
• 11:00 am Attend Senate and House floor sessions.
• 12:00 pm Press Conference in Governor's Conference Room, featuring Reverend Carlton Veazey.

• 1:15 pm Lobby your legislators on important women's reproductive rights legislation.
