RESEARCH ON EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION
WV FREE is on the cutting edge of emergency contraception research and
access work.
In the Fall of 2007, in partnership with ACLU-WV and the WV Foundation for Rape and Information Services, we completed our statewide EC Pharmacy Access project -- we are the only state with an EC pharmacy survey of this scope and depth. Check out the results of the Pharmacy Survey here (Page 1 | Page 2).
In the Summer of 2006 WV FREE completed the research portion of our Emergency Contraception in the Emergency Room ('EC in the ER') project with the ACLU Clara Bell Duvall Reproductive Freedom Project and the WV Foundation for Rape and Information Services (FRIS). Check out the study here.
RESEARCH ON SEXUALITY
We wish to bring to your attention an opportunity to participate as an
unpaid volunteer in an ongoing study entitled "Effects of Recalled Family
Attitudes and Childhood Sexual Experiences on Adult Sexual Attitudes and
Adjustment." Volunteers can participate by taking part in a computerized
anonymous survey at the Charleston campus of the Marshall University
Graduate College. If you are interested in being an unpaid volunteer for the
study, are 18 or older, and willing to spend about 2 hours working with the
computer program to complete the anonymous study, please contact Dr. R.
Vernon Haning, M.D. by email at Haning2@Marshall.edu, by phone at (304)
344-0469, or by mail at P.O. Box 11081, Charleston, WV 25339 to obtain more
information about how you can participate in the study.
